Antwerp [i.e. London]: Printed for R. C. and C. F., First Edition, lacks front fly-leaf, woodcut tail-piece, lv, [7], 330pp., contemporary calf, spine ruled in gilt, a nice copy. Robert Manning was born in Amsterdam and trained at Douai, was sent to England as a missionary in 1692, becoming chaplain at Ingateston Hall, in Essex. His "England's Conversion and Reformation", was printed secretly in London with a false Antwerp imprint, and wqas seized by the authorities as seditious.
