Innys, First Latin Edition, 8vo (197 x 125 mm), in 2 parts, [7], ii-xxiv, 149, [3], xii, [37], 48 pp., the 'Medicina statica Britannica' has a separate title-page and pagination, the register is continuous, some worming on lower blank margins in first half of text, just affecting imprint on title page, woodcut illustrations in the text, contemporary panelled calf, joints cracked. First published under the title "An Account of Animal Secretion, the quality of Blood in the Humane Body and Muscular Motion", in 1708. This work was an important intermediate step between Harvey's early work on the circulation of the blood and the full understanding of circulation achieved by Hales in 1733.
