Oxford: Henry Slater, Thirteenth edition, improved, 8vo (210 x 135 mm), xii, 139, [1]pp., and 5 further plates (lightly spotted), folding plan of the park, original printed boards, rebacked, later red morocco slip-case, spine gilt. According to Harris this edition, was published in 1836, four years before the "profligate" 5th Duke died. This was the guide book, sold in Woodstock for many years which ran through many editions. Mavor, a local clergyman with 39 works on education and topography to his credit gives remarkably comprehensive description of the Palace and its environs.
