A record of 68 Country Houses described in considerable detail. "The illustrations are mainly photographic but some are probably wood cuts. The 'sketches' were originally designed for publication on "Eddows's Shrewsbury Journal" and a number of the articles appeared in its columns but it was decided not to continue and they were then issued in this publication."—Cooper.
