[London: Compton and Ritchie, 2 parts in one, 8vo (212 x 134 mm), 78; 68pp., second part with prices supplied in pencil in a cont. hand, recent cloth, leather spine label lettered in gilt. The original issue of these catalogues as Evans went bankrupt in June 1846, just before these sales, and Sotheby's were asked to conduct the sale at Evans salerooms although Evans had prepared the catalogue. The later issue have the title with Sotheby's as the auctioneers. Provenance: Presentation label 'Presented to the Long Island Historical Society, by J. Carson Brevoort, of Brooklyn.'
