London: Priestley and Weale, First and only edition, 8vo, 20pp., one large folding engraved plate of Phillips' 'Improved Capstans', recent grey paper wrappers. A capstan is a vertical-axled rotating machine developed for use on sailing ships to multiply the pulling force of seamen when hauling ropes, cables, and hawsers.
