SJN/23 Gunjin Shimbun, January 20, Single sheet printed on both sides (335 x 230 mm), printed in Japanese including two woodcut maps and a photograph reproduction, age-toned, blank margins a little chipped, a couple of closed tears. Sold with: A safe Conduct Pass printed on both sides (175 x 105 mm), printed in red and black in four languages, "Safe Conduct Pass. Notice to Allied Forces: The man sho brings this is to be well and carefully treated in accordance with normal practice. —South East Asia Command." These leaflets were clearly dropped on numerous countries to declare the defeat of the Japanese. A note in pencil at head reads "Picked up at Monywa [Burma] January, 1945."
